COVID-19 TESTS
Get tested for Covid-19 with a Rapid, Antigen or PCR test at the comfort of your location.
Results as quick as 1 hour.
Covid-19 tests can help detect SARS-CoV-2, its biomarkers, or antibodies that your body makes after getting Covid-19 or after getting vaccinated.
Getting tested is very important because it’s one of the ways that can help reduce the spread of Covid-19. In our lab we have the following tests for Covid-19 detection available.
Covid-19 PCR Test
One of our healthcare professionals will take a sample with a swab from inside the back of your throat and nose. For this analysis we take a sample of ribonucleic acid (RNA) and amplify it in our lab. By doing this we can make the Covid-19 virus visible in the sample even the smallest traces. The PCR test does not alter your DNA in any way.
This is a test you should take if you are looking for accurate results. We can provide results within the hour.
Covid-19 Antigen Test
The antigen test detects coronavirus proteins in the mouth and throat. This test determines whether a patient is currently infected with Covid-19. This is a ‘first line of defense’ test against Covid-19, specially in individuals who have Covid symptoms. It typically takes up to 30 minutes for a result. The sample is taken with a swab of the patient’s nose and/or throat.
This is a test you should take if you are looking for faster results than a PCR.
Covid-19 Rapid Test
The Rapid Antigen test searches for protein pieces from the virus. For this test we will collect samples from both nostrils and then combined with a special liquid. If enough protein pieces from the virus are present in the liquid, the test strip will turn positive (15-20 minutes). This test is less accurate than the others, that is why we recommend you test at least twice over a 36-48 hour period to increase the odds of detecting an infection.
This is a test you should take if you want immediate results.
You should get tested if:

You are showing any Covid-19 symptoms like: cough, loss of taste or smell, fever, etc.

You are planning to travel outside the US to a country with a covid-19 test requirement.

You have been exposed to a Covid-19 positive person.
Getting tested is an important part of slowing and eventually stopping the spread of Covid-19. For more accurate results, PCR tests are the preferred way to go but the Antigen and Rapid tests work for fast results.
No test is 100% accurate. Positive tests tend to be accurate, yet negative tests need to be interpreted with caution. This is especially true in high-risk settings where there are people vulnerable to severe disease from Covid-19 (due to age or chronic medical conditions, etc.) or when the test is used on asymptomatic people.
What Covid-19 test are you looking to schedule?
